Peter Ryg, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmic Surgeon with fellowship training in Corneal and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Ryg received his undergraduate degree from Brown University. He earned his medical degree with honors from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
After medical school, Dr. Ryg completed his residency at Yale University. He then went on to complete the prestigious Proctor Foundation Fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at University of California San Francisco. Dr. Ryg also spent a year performing research at the renowned Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Ryg specializes in advanced corneal transplant techniques, complex cataract surgery, LASIK, and ocular surface tumors. He has co-authored multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Ophthalmology and several oncology journals.
